Over the past decade, Indian capital markets have grown explosively both in terms of volume and sophistication. The regulator has been introducing newer product classes in a phased manner; however, neither the education required for understanding these products nor research aimed at pricing and evaluating the risks of these products has kept pace with these developments. The primary objective of Center for Advanced Financial Studies is to fill this significant void. To elaborate, the major goals are:
To conduct and facilitate research in finance and economics
To provide valuable datasets to the wider academic community through IFMR's portal
To provide advanced courses on different areas of finance and economics with a focus on quantitative aspects
