Dominik Bulla Executive Director/ Head of Research Silo

Dominik Bulla heads the CIFD's research silo and the Centre's management team. He holds a Master's degree in Poverty Reduction and Development Management from the University of Birmingham and a Master's degree in Political Science, Economic Policy and Economic History from Muenster University in Germany. Before joining CIFD, Dominik Bulla has worked in Asia, Africa, and Europe in various domains such as management and performance evaluation of information-sharing projects, targeting the poor, microfinance, frontline service provision and social accountability. Prior to his current position, he worked as a CIFD Project Manager in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka State. His research interests include poverty reduction, randomized controlled field experiments, microfinance, education, social protection, public management and accountability.

J. Vasanth Adithya Project Manager

Vasanth Adithya J is currently working as the Project Manager at the Centre for Innovative Financial Design at Institute for Financial Management and Research in collaboration with the department of Economics, Harvard University handling a project titled "Behavioral Determinants of Labor Supply" at Mysore. The project involves studying behavioral aspects of human labour in a controlled environment in BPO's. Previously he was working at the Centre for Micro Finance operating a field research project on rural health survey of microfinance clients on behalf of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Gulbarga and Bidar Districts. He also has 6 months experience as a legal analyst.

Vasanth holds a Bachelor of Law from Pondicherry University, a Master in economics from Madras University, a Masters in Business administration from Symbiosis and a Master in Intellectual property rights from National Law School India University.

His areas of interest include Music, Environmental economics, financial news, Stock Market trends, Eastern philosophy, corporate law, human rights and intellectual property rights. He has published various articles on micro-finance, sustainable development and environmental law in the Hindu. He has also published a law book titled "Interpretation of Statutes" and a score of short stories based on contemporary economics and cultural changes.

Sanchit Kumar Project Manager

Sanchit has a bachelor's and master's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University having later studied at Sciences Po. Since 2007 he has worked in Bihar, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh first at the Centre for Development Finance and subsequently at the Centre for Innovative Financial Design. The projects include Determination of leakage and corruption in two of India's flagship public transfer programmes and Contracting, credit and irrigation in India.

Bernard Rump Research Associate

Ben Rump is currently a summer research associate at the CIFD and is working on a project to help determine how ownership structure affects farm output. Ben recently graduated with a B.A. from Dartmouth College with majors in Economics and Mathematics. Before joining the CIFD, he worked on FINRA's first National Financial Capability Study executive summary, which presented the findings from a national survey measuring the financial literacy and financial behavior of Americans. His interests include Banking, Finance, and Industrial Organization.
