Objectives of the study:

  1. To study the pattern of the growth trends of Self Help Groups  Bank Linkage (SGBL) programme in the districts of West Bengal and Jharkhand.
  2. To study the pattern of equity in loan distribution within the SHGs, their longevity and stability over time and incidence of drop out among members,  cost of launching a group, training costs for group members and cost of monitoring of the group.
  3. To study the pattern of training and capacity building aspects for self help groups (SHGs) and MFI beneficiaries
