Jayaram Venkatesan holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Cincinnati, USA where his research focus was on Prediction of postural stability of human body through pattern recognition methods. His prior experience includes working for Countrywide Securities Corporation in their fixed income research division on prediction of prepayment for mortgage backed securities for two years. He then worked with Scope-Standard Chartered, Chennai for a year on portfolio analytics. He also has keen interest in sustainable development, improving quality of public schools and policy analysis. Jayaram joined CMF as a consultant in April 2008 and his current focus at CMF are building needs assessment tool for MFIs and analyzing the cost - benefits of no-frills account.
