Jyoti holds a master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. His areas of focus were Development Economics, Environmental Economics, Environment and Development, Econometrics, and Public Economics. His master’s term paper in Development Economics was on “Inequality, Poverty and Development”. As part of his internship, Jyoti worked with Society for Development Studies, New Delhi in Rajasthan on the “Concurrent Evaluation Study (2005) of Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.” He joined CMF in June, 2006 and is currently working on “Migration and Financial Services for the poor” with Rema Hanna (New York University), Petia Topalova (Yale University), and Shawn Cole (Harvard Business School).
