Stuti did her Bachelors (Hons) in Sociology from Lady Shriram College in Delhi before enrolling for a Masters in Delhi School of Economics. Thereafter she joined SRIJAN, a Non Governmental Organization implementing poverty alleviation projects in the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Anchoring the Knowledge Management initiative, Stuti was instrumental in putting in place the organization’s newsletter “Letters” and did various assignments aimed at assessing the impact of SRIJAN’s interventions on the ground. Her foray into micro finance happened with Sa-Dhan where she worked in the capacity building team focusing largely on the organization’s initiative in the North East. She joined CMF in March 2008 and is currently working on a project in Gujarat which will conduct several randomized experiments designed to assess the impact of financial literacy training on the use of financial services and other individual financial decisions. The project will work with about 1,200 clients of a local microfinance institution. Prior to this Stuti has worked on other studies around Housing Microfinance and Urban Microfinance Plus initiatives.
