Thomaz has worked for NGOs, think tanks, microfinance institutions and government contractors in Brazil, Guatemala, Mozambique and the US. He holds an MA in International Affairs with a concentration in Economic Development from George Washington University, a law degree from the Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro, a BA in Philosophy from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a graduate certificate in Diplomacy from the Candido Mandes University. He joined CMF as a Research Associate in February 2010 and will work on the impact evaluation of Hand-in-Hand in Tamil Nadu.
