Data Collection Part II - CMF Research Associate Akhand Tiwari conducts a round table discussion on the importance of Data Collection at the Centre for Micro Finance with Research Associate Anand Shukla, Survey Operations Team member Projjal Saha and Head of Analytics Ajay Tannirkulam. This portion of the discussion focuses on innovations in Data Collection, with an emphasis on CMF's piloting of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).

Data Collection Part I - CMF Research Associate Akhand Tiwari conducts a round table discussion on the importance of Data Collection at the Centre for Micro Finance with Research Associate Anand Shukla, Survey Operations Team member Projjal Saha and Head of Analytics Ajay Tannirkulam. Part one of this wide-ranging discussion focuses on what can go wrong in data collection and the procedures for quality control utilized by CMF in the field. Some of the jargon included in this podcast include "investigator," another word for surveyors who conduct questionnaires in the field, "monitors," who checkup on the work of the investigators, "back checks" which are random returns to re-conduct a survey with the same respondent to make sure the original investigator did a good job, and "scrutiny," which when a completed questionnaire is examined by a monitor for mistakes by the investigator.
