In conjunction with SEWA, the Centre for Micro Finance held a one day conference on Tuesday, August 11th 2009 titled, "Risk Mitigation in Agriculture." Speakers at the conference included Kolli Rao, Deputy General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Company of India (AIC), Shri Sharad Joshi, MP from Maharasthra and Kshama Fernandes, Vice President of IFMR Capital. CMF and SEWA released two operations manuals at the conference that documented the processes behind the Weather Insurance study and the Future Prices study. These documents were meant to be used by NGOs and other parties interested in replicating the work. Please find them here:
