M Ramkumar joined Institute for Financial Management & Research (IFMR) as a Senior Faculty Associate in the Department of Operations Management & Information Systems on 26th August 2015. Currently, He is working as Assistant Professor in IFMR. He completed his B.E (Production Engineering) from Anna University Chennai (2007), PGDM from SCMS-Cochin (2009) and currently awarded Ph.D for his thesis titled “Implementation Issues in Third Party e-Procurement Services” from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests primarily lies on the interface between Operations Management and Information Systems disciplines, which includes Technology Adoption & Diffusion, Sustainability in Supply Chain through Information Systems, Social Media, Multiple Criteria Decision Making and Health Care Systems. His teaching interests include Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Chain Networks, Management Information Systems, Electronic Business, Business Process Management, and Operations Management.

Ramkumar is a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with exceptional mastery of methodological issues towards his research interests. Some of his preliminary contributions of his research has already been published in reputed international journals such as Service Science, (INFORMS) and IEEE Systems Journal and international conferences proceedings such as Decision Sciences International Annual Conference 2014 (Tampa, USA), POMS Annual Conference 2014 (Atlanta, USA), IPSERA 2013 (Nantes, France), and IIE Asian Conference 2012 (Singapore). He is the recipient of “Lelio Raffa Bursary Award” from “22nd Annual International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA) Conference”. He is also the recipient of “International Travel Grant” and “Institute Travel Grant” from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur for presenting his papers in 25th POMS Annual Conference 2014, Atlanta and 45th Decision Sciences Annual Meeting, Tampa. Some of his professional contributions include successful completion of ad hoc referee assignments for reputed international journals like IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, Decision Support Systems, Annals of Operations Research, Behavior and Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Enterprise Transformation, and Journal of Electronic Commerce Research and International Conferences such as AOM Annual Meeting 2013 and 2014. He is also one among the reviewers (International Theme Committee) for the Carolyn Dexter Award, AOM Annual Meeting, 2015. He is the member of Production & Operations Management Society, Decision Sciences International and International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making.
