Dr Ratul Lahkar

Dr. Lahkar completed his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in April, 2007. He was working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics, University College London after completing his PhD before joining IFMR in June, 2008. He has also worked as a research associate at the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi. He has taught various courses in microeconomics and statistics as a teaching assistant during his PhD.
Dr Lahkar’s research interests include microeconomic theory, game theory with focus on learning and evolution, and behavioural economics. He has also worked in industrial organization theory with particular emphasis on the application of evolutionary game theory to industrial organization. He has published some of his work in Games and Economic Behavior.
