Dr. G. Balasubramanian, Dean, IFMR

Ph.D (Madras), AICWA

Dr Bala has more than two decades of experience in executive training, teaching, consulting and research in Accounting, Finance and Information Technology. He has been a visiting faculty for commonwealth nations secretariat in the area of finance and information technology. He has published papers in the area of capital markets, accounting, information technology and knowledge management.

Prof. R. Jayaram, Adjunct Professor, IFMR

M.Com, M.Phil, FCMA, CIMA Adv Dip M.A, (PhD – Cost Management)

Prof. R. Jayaram handles Management Accounting, Strategic Cost Management and Basic Financial and Cost Accounting at IFMR. His research areas include Cost and Management Accounting with specific focus on Activity Based Costing and Management. Prof. Jayaram is a Practicing Cost and Management Accountant. He has been in industry for more than a decade before going into practice

Dr. Surenderrao Komera

M.Phil – Economics, PhD- Finance

Surender Komera received his PhD degree for his work in the broad area of corporate finance. His thesis was titled as ‘Essays on Capital Structure Choice and Corporate Bankruptcy’. His research interests include capital structure choices, corporate investment policies, R&D investments, dynamics of business group ownership, corporate distress, and portfolio performance evaluation.

Ganesh Sankar
PGDM – Finance and Ph.D. Scholar in Financial Derivatives

Ganesh worked with Centre for Advanced Financial Studies at IFMR Research for five years. He handled research and consulting assignments such as: Developing a risk based pricing model;  Analysing returns from leveraged trading strategies; Developing a Market Risk Measurement portal; Developing an asset allocation portal and Analysing the effect of short sale on spot futures arbitrage. He currently works in credit risk management practice in industry. His interests include financial modelling, derivatives and risk management.

Fee Details

Participation fee on a non residential basis :

  • 10,000/- per participant + Applicable Service Tax15% tax

The fee includes course kit, participation certificate, lunch and tea/coffee.

The DD to be drawn in favour of “Institute for Financial Management and Research” payable at Chennai in advance. Fee once paid can be transferred to another nominee for the same program but will not be refunded.
